Galkot (Baglung): In a remarkable humanitarian effort, Manavsewa Ashram has successfully rescued 10 thousand helpless street dwellers across the country. The organization's commitment to eliminating street homelessness is underscored by its intensified awareness programs and recent Mechi-Mahakali Street Dwellers Rescue Campaign.

Awareness Campaign Spotlights Parental Value

Central president of the Ashram, Ramji Adhikari, shared insights into their latest campaign, focusing on the importance of parents. Through 'Aama Seminar' or the 'Mother Seminar' organized in various districts, the Ashram aims to promote humanism, nationality, charity, love for the country, and emphasize the crucial role of parents in one's life.

Documentary Showcases Ashram's Impact

As part of the seminar, a documentary film highlighting the rescue, care, and family reunions facilitated by the Mechi-Mahakali campaign is screened. Adhikari, a resource person for the seminar, emphasizes the belief that parents are akin to gods, urging society to recognize their significance and avoid compelling them into a life on the streets.

Beyond Rescues: Raising Public Awareness

Adhikari stressed that rescuing street dwellers alone is insufficient; raising public awareness is equally crucial. The Aama Seminar serves as a platform to instill in people's minds the value of parents, promoting a culture of love and care towards them.

Ten Thousand Lives Touched by Manavsewa Ashram

Since its establishment on August 29, 2012, the Manavsewa Ashram has rescued a commendable 10 thousand street people. Adhikari extended an appeal to the public, urging collective participation in the campaign to make Nepal free of street-dwelling individuals by 2026.
